In a shake-up that's got country music fans buzzing, Morgan Wallen has officially dethroned Garth Brooks, claiming the top spot for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Wallen's impressive run has now reached a staggering 174 weeks, edging out Brooks' previous record of 173.

The feat marks a significant moment in country music history, showcasing Wallen's undeniable staying power. While Garth Brooks has held the record for a very long time, Wallen has now taken the crown.

To put Wallen's achievement into perspective, the leaderboard reads like a who's who of country legends. Before Wallen's ascent, and Brooks' record, Alabama held a strong position with 125 weeks, followed by Willie Nelson with 107, and even Taylor Swift, from her prior days in country, with 101 weeks.

Wallen's dominance on the charts has been fueled by the massive success of his albums, notably "Dangerous: The Double Album" and "One Thing At A Time." The latter album has reclaimed the number one spot for a remarkable 75th week. It is also important to note that the "Dangerous: The Double Album" spent 97 weeks at number one.

This achievement solidifies Wallen's position as a powerhouse in contemporary country music, and it will be interesting to see how long he can hold onto this record. One thing is for sure, country music fans will be watching.
