Country music fans, get ready! The legendary Randy Travis is getting the biopic treatment, and it's shaping up to be a fun one. Titled "Forever and Ever, Amen," the film will chart Travis's remarkable journey, from his early days to his iconic status.
Announced at the Grand Ole Opry, the project boasts a stellar team, with Andrew Hyatt directing from his own script. Hyatt is known for award-winning historical dramas including "Paul, Apostle of Christ" and "Full of Grace". Producers Zach Dasher and Korie Robertson of Tread Lively are also on board, promising an authentic and heartfelt portrayal. Interestingly, Travis himself and his wife, Mary, are set to executive produce, ensuring the film rings true.
One of the most exciting reveals? Country star Clay Walker will portray Travis during his 40s and 50s. As Walker put it during the Opry announcement, stepping into Travis's shoes is a "tremendous honor." The film is casting now for a young version of the country star.
