Country music boasts a rich history of chart-topping hits, and while many artists have graced the number one spot, a select few have truly dominated the charts.  Notably, no women made the top three, with Dolly Parton leading the female artists with just 25 #1 hits.

In the #3 spot is Tim McGraw, with an impressive 47 chart-topping singles.  At 57, McGraw continues to be a force in country music, but he's still got a ways to go to catch the top contenders.

Securing the #2 spot is the late, great Conway Twitty.  With 55 number one hits, Twitty held the crown for an impressive 26 years after taking over in 1980. His reign at the top lasted until…

He was dethroned by the undisputed king, George Strait.  With a staggering 60 #1 hits, Strait reigns supreme.  And, remarkably, he's still releasing music and making hits, further solidifying his legendary status.  Strait's enduring popularity and consistent chart success have cemented his place in country music history.
